Re: Hows your french err technique..
This is so typical of fucking post-96 football now...

The CORBYNITES have fucking ruined society, including football, with their sickly, over-sympathetic, flower power, arsewiping ways...

The events in Paris were a tragedy - fucking terrible - but this remembrance stuff is going way too far... It's almost cringey, in fact...

The odd thing is that if such a tragedy had've happened in the UK; the mindfuck, odball, disgusting CORBYNITES would try to put a block on fans singing our own national anthem (in case it offends the ethnic minorities) - but we're supposed to sing the French one?!?!...

I fucking hate the CORBYNITES...

Re: Hows your french err technique..
I think France by now knows pretty well that the UK is behind them and with great condolences to those who have died.

It gets silly playing the French national anthem as someone below said the England France game was an excellent show of respect.

Graham Charles Paddon was a boyhood unsung Hammers hero to me. As was Geoff Pike.

Minutes silence in Doncaster and Lyon, please, for Paddon. Yeah right...

Re: Hows your french err technique..
Recognition of players who have died or events such as Remembrance Day etc are of course very important but trying to latch on to every world event and disaster is too much.
As I said earlier the response at the England game was appropriate as France were involved but this anthem thing is going too far. It does seem like the French deaths are being considered more important than those in Mali or Lebanon etc
A silence or applause or anthem every week just takes away any impact of events that should be noted by FOOTBALL fans at a FOOTBALL club.

Personally I am still fuming that we DIDNT have a minutes silence to mark the death of Graham PADDON.

"I'm guessing we will getting the Mali national anthem now as well."

I'm sure your point was meant ironically but it does show how ridiculous it is. French lives are more important than those in Mali or Lebanon where Islamic militants committed murder on a grand scale...

Cringeworthy wailing? Extremely - in fact just like Liverpool fans....

As a Frenchman put it in the week.

The time for candles is over. Its time to Fight. Liberty! Resistance!

I'm glad we're not at home. This crass decision is best ignored.

Re: Hows your french err technique..
It's bollocks, but "grief tourism" is SO big these days. Will only take a minute. Just stand silent and observe. No need to ruin it or have any club's fans portraying themselves as twats. WHUFC is better than that.

Like a lot of things in the modern world....fucking cringey. Fuck off.

I'm guessing we will getting the Mali national anthem now as well.
Probably a medley of anthems and a bit of a national dance off as a prematch floor show.

I'm all for a minutes silence or a minute of clapping but think the playing of the French anthem is unnecessary

What happened in London in 2007?

They're still doing this are they?

Fucking cringe.

I was all for a minute's silence and their national anthem being sang when we played them at Wembley the other night, but I think we've done enough public grieving for them now.

I don't remember them giving much of a shit when it was done in London in 2007.

its happening so lets just keep quiet for a few minutes - no harm done.

some cunts will ruin it, just make sure it isnt us.

Re: Hows your french err technique..
I like the French but FMOB this is a bit too much. It's funny this morning that France called on its European Union partners to take immediate and decisive action to toughen the bloc’s borders...

How about starting with Calais...

Re: Hows your french err technique..
This is almost as weird as Spurs having a minute's silence for Glenn Hoddle's mum, when he was their manager.
